Outside the United States

Call your local emergency number. If you are not in immediate danger, ask your doctor, pastor, or a trusted person to help you find a local service.

If someone tells you they want to hurt themselves

Take it seriously. Ask plainly whether they are thinking of suicide. Stay with them. Do not promise to keep it secret; tell them you care too much to promise that. Call or text 988 together. If you can do it safely, help put distance between them and anything they could use to hurt themselves. If they are in immediate danger, call 911 and do not leave them alone.

About these resources

Clear Path Bible Studies is a Christian teaching ministry. We are not a counseling or crisis service, and a Bible study group is not a substitute for professional care. These services are independent organizations, and we list them as a help to you, not as an endorsement of everything they do.
