When you have questions about faith
One page for the nights you’re not sure
“I believe. Help my unbelief!”Mark 9:24 · WEB
A father said this to Jesus with tears, belief and unbelief in one breath. Jesus didn’t make him sort it out first. He helped the boy (Mark 9:14–29). That doesn’t promise every prayer the same answer. It shows that a mixed, honest prayer is welcome.
Jesus met Thomas
Thomas wanted to see the wounds. Jesus showed him, and said, “Don’t be unbelieving, but believing” (John 20:27). Thomas answered, “My Lord and my God!” (20:28).
Written for people with questions
John says he wrote his Gospel “that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God” (John 20:31). The evidence it offers is worth reading slowly.
A low flame is still faith
“He won’t quench a dimly burning wick” (Isaiah 42:3). Faith is trust placed in a Person, not a feeling of certainty, and fear can’t tell you what you believe.
“I believe…”
What you do still believe, honestly. Small counts.
“Help my unbelief”
The question I most want to understand is…
One next step
One passage, or one person who will take it seriously.
That’s enough for tonight. You don’t have to settle everything at once. If your question is whether Jesus rose, start with John 20:24–31.
For the nightstand“He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick.”
