What We Believe

Statement of Faith

Clear Path Bible Studies stands on the historic, central convictions of the Christian faith — the truths Christians across centuries and traditions have held in common. Here is what we believe, stated plainly.

We hold them firmly, teach them clearly, and present them in the spirit that marks all our work: humble, hopeful, Christ-centered, and grounded in Scripture rather than in fear, novelty, or opinion. This statement is intentionally cross-denominational — it affirms the faith Christians have shared across traditions, so that believers and churches of many backgrounds can use our resources with confidence.

Article 01

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible — the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments — is the inspired Word of God, given through human authors carried along by the Holy Spirit. It is fully trustworthy and authoritative in all that it affirms, and it is the final standard by which all teaching, including our own, is to be measured.

Scripture is sufficient to make us wise for salvation and to equip us for every good work. We approach it with reverence and care — reading it in context, letting clearer passages illuminate harder ones, and seeking to understand what God actually said before we apply it to our lives.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 · 2 Peter 1:20–21 · Psalm 119:105 · Hebrews 4:12
Article 02

God the Father

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory, one in essence and being. This one God is holy, just, good, and unchanging; He is the Creator and sustainer of all that exists, and He governs His creation with wisdom and love.

God the Father is not distant or indifferent. He knows His people, hears them, and works all things according to the counsel of His will, drawing near to those who come to Him through His Son.

Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19 · Genesis 1:1 · 1 John 4:8 · Ephesians 1:11
Article 03

Jesus Christ the Son

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man — eternally the Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, taught with authority, and revealed the Father perfectly. He died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day, conquering sin and death.

He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He now reigns and intercedes for His people, and He will return in glory. Salvation is found in no one else; He is the one mediator between God and humanity, and the center of everything we teach.

John 1:1, 14 · Philippians 2:5–11 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · 1 Timothy 2:5 · Acts 4:12
Article 04

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, draws people to Christ, and gives new birth to all who believe. He indwells every Christian, assures us that we belong to God, and works to make us more like Jesus over time.

The Spirit illuminates the Scriptures so that we can understand and obey them, equips believers with gifts for the good of the church, and empowers God's people to live and witness faithfully. The Christian life is not lived in our own strength but in His.

John 16:8–14 · Titus 3:5 · Romans 8:9–16 · Galatians 5:22–25 · 1 Corinthians 12:4–7
Article 05

Humanity & the Fall

We believe that every human being is made in the image of God, possessing dignity, worth, and purpose. Yet through Adam's rebellion, sin entered the world, and all people have since sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Apart from God's grace, we are spiritually unable to save ourselves and stand in need of rescue.

This is honest about our condition without being despairing about our hope. The same Scripture that names our brokenness announces a Savior — which is why the gospel is genuinely good news.

Genesis 1:27 · Romans 3:23 · Romans 5:12 · Ephesians 2:1–3
Article 06

Salvation in Christ

We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ — not earned by good works, religious effort, or human merit. Christ's death pays the penalty for sin, and His resurrection secures new life for all who trust in Him. Those who turn from sin and believe in Him are forgiven, reconciled to God, and made new.

This salvation brings real assurance and lasting freedom. It is not a reward for the worthy but a rescue for the willing, offered freely to anyone who comes to Christ.

Ephesians 2:8–9 · John 3:16 · Romans 10:9–10 · Titus 3:4–7 · 2 Corinthians 5:17
Article 07

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ — all who belong to Him across every age, nation, and tradition — and that it gathers in local communities of believers who worship, learn, serve, and grow together. The Church exists to glorify God, build up believers, and make disciples of all nations.

Clear Path is a resource for the Church, not a replacement for it. Our studies are designed to serve individuals, families, small groups, and congregations — strengthening the life of the local church rather than drawing people away from it.

1 Corinthians 12:12–27 · Ephesians 4:11–16 · Matthew 28:18–20 · Hebrews 10:24–25
Article 08

The Christian Life

We believe that following Jesus is meant to be lived, not merely studied. Those who belong to Christ are called to grow in faith, love God and neighbor, walk in obedience, and bear the fruit of the Spirit. Discipleship is a lifelong journey of being shaped into the likeness of Christ — through Scripture, prayer, community, and faithful obedience in everyday life.

This is why every Clear Path study ends in application. Understanding the Bible is not the finish line; it is the beginning of a transformed life. We aim to send every learner away with one clear thing to live out.

Matthew 22:37–39 · John 15:1–8 · Galatians 5:22–25 · James 1:22 · Romans 12:1–2
Article 09

Our Hope in Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead, to make all things new, and to dwell forever with His people. Those who are in Christ have the sure hope of resurrection and eternal life in His presence, where there will be no more sorrow, pain, or death.

This hope steadies us. We teach the future — including difficult passages like Revelation — in the spirit of confidence rather than fear. The Christian's hope is not anxious speculation about dates and signs, but joyful certainty about a returning King.

Acts 1:11 · Revelation 21:1–5 · 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 · 1 Corinthians 15:51–57 · Titus 2:13
A Closing Word

Held Firmly, Discussed Openly

The convictions above are the core of the Christian faith — truths we hold without compromise, and the foundation of everything we teach. On these we stand firmly.

Yet faithful Christians who agree on these essentials have long differed on certain secondary matters. On questions such as the mode and timing of baptism, forms of church governance, the practice and place of particular spiritual gifts, the precise timing and sequence of end-times events, and the longstanding conversation between Calvinist and Arminian understandings of God's sovereignty and human responsibility, we hold our own views with conviction but present these matters with humility — and we make room for believers and churches of many traditions to use our resources in good conscience.

Our posture: firm on the center, gracious at the edges. We would rather help a believer understand Scripture clearly and walk with Christ faithfully than win an argument on a secondary point. Where Scripture speaks plainly, we teach with confidence; where sincere Christians have long disagreed, we teach with charity.

If you have questions about what we believe, or would like to discuss any of it further, we genuinely welcome the conversation — please reach out, and a real person will reply.
